Career[edit]
Advani made her acting debut in Kabir Sadanand's comedydrama film, Fugly (2014), opposite newcomer Mohit Marwah, Vijender Singh, Arfi Lamba and Jimmy Shergill. The film opened to mixed reviews. For her performance however, Advani received generally positive reviews, with Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama saying she 'catches you completely unaware' and has the 'combination of looks and talent'.[8] Mehul S Thakkar of Deccan Chronicle noted her performance as being 'very striking' and said she 'shows a lot of promise,' along with praising her versatility and range as an actor.[9]
After playing the leading lady in Abbas-Mustan's action film Machine, Advani made her debut in the Telugu film industry with Bharat Ane Nenu, in which she got a chance to appear opposite Mahesh Babu.[10] She also appeared in the movie M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story as Mrs. Sakshi Dhoni, the biopic of the former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The movie was a huge success. She later appeared as a shy bride in the Netflix anthology film Lust Stories.[11] Her masturbation scene in the film, using a vibrator, was praised for its frank portrayal of women's sexuality.[12]
Advani was cast opposite Ram Charan in an Vinaya Vidheya Rama, a Telugu film.[13] She is appearing alongside Akshay Kumar and Diljit Dosanjh in the romantic comedy Good News. She was featured in a music video Urvashi alongside Shahid Kapoor.[14][15] She will also play the lead female role opposite Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh, a Hindi-language remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy.[16]
